Martin Bentz Crossover Quintett

Der Cellist Martin Bentz, 1974 in Kassel geboren, studierte u.a. in Lübeck und ist heute von Hamburg aus künstlerisch tätig. Mit seinem Streichquartett "Strings Deluxe", aber auch als Solist, hatte er weit über die Grenzen Deutschlands hinaus Auftritte. Seine Musikdirektion in der Trickfilmreihe "Little Amadeus" brachte ihm Bewunderung und Preise. Außerdem ist er im "Deutschen Hörspielorchester Hamburg" leitend tätig. Da er nicht in den engen Kategorien E- oder U-Musik denkt, tritt er auch mit namhaften Künstlern aus dem Unterhaltungssektor auf. 

Bei dieser Quadro-Surround Musikproduktion spielt Martin Bentz mit seinen ebenfalls hochkarätigen Streichern als Crossover Quintett. Die 1. Violine erklingt vorne in der Mitte, links und rechts daneben die 2. Violine und die Bratsche. Er selbst spielt sein pointiertes Cello hinten rechts, während der Bass hinten links das abrundende Fundament in der Klangbalance hinzufügt.

Diese gestalterisch mehrkanalige Produktion soll zeigen, dass Klassik durchaus im deutlich ortbaren quadrophonen Raumklang erklingen kann.

  Born in Kassel, Germany in 1974, cellist Martin Bentz studied among others at Luebeck University but is now based in Hamburg directing his musical career. His string quartet ‘Strings DeLuxe’ and he in person as a soloist have been much in demand and as a soloist he performed all over Europe. As musical director of the cartoon series ‘Little Amadeus’ he won accolades and prizes. Also, he is a leading member of the German Radio Play Orchestra, Hamburg. He does not restrict himself to the limited categories of classical and light music and, therefore, has no problem working together with leading musicians of the world of entertainment of pop and light music.

On the occasion of this Quadro-Surround Music Production Martin Bentz works together with other first class string musicians in a crossover quintet formation. The 1st violin is in the front middle, left the 2nd violin and viola to the right. He plays his inimitable superb cello at the rear right while the bass delivers the stabilizing element in the balance of sound and music at the rear left. This conscious multichannel production demonstrates that in classical music through quadraphonic technology instruments can be located to their respective positions within the orchestra.
